The administration and staff at Menihek High School are excited to announce that we are at the point where we can provide you and your child with access to your childs’ current grades and attendance via the internet. To access this information you will need to follow these steps:

Parent Portal to check grades, missing/late assessments

1. Open the internet browser on your computer

2. Type https://pschool.lsb.ca/public into the address bar

3. Type your Username and Password exactly as they are printed below (both are case sensitive). You and your child have separate passwords. It is advisable that you keep your username and password secure and not share it with anyone else.  If you forgot your password please contact Mrs. Smith at the school.

4. View the information.

Homework is minimized. Student notes weekly and speak up with questions / concerns. Extra help is always available, as are second chances IF requested in a timely manner. Second chances are available for tests and major assignments only, not small assignments.

If any student wants a second chance on a piece of work...the following conditions must be met :

1.    All exam mistakes have to be fixed, show me this is done on the test paper or separate paper, and/or

2.    All assignments currently up to date and complete, and or

3.    Extra help tutorial afterschool to fix misconceptions that were on first test

Each term, students should expect a minimum of 1 test, 1 lab, and several smaller assignments.

Missed notes...it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get them printed....they are available online. If something you need isn’t available online, bring it to my attention.

Missed work...it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see me outside of class time for make up work, extra help, missed handouts, etc.

I will NOT be giving students in class time to catch up on missed work. Directed learning periods and after hours help are available instead.
